ABM Video Series: How to Create Ponytail Holder Buttons

As we continue our one-by-one journey through the tutorial videos that we have posted on our button making videos page, today’s video involves the creation of ponytail buttons.

The beautiful thing about making ponytail buttons is that the process for making them is very similar to the process for making any type of button, as you will see in the video below.

Here is the main difference: our ponytail kits include an eyelet that is easily inserted into the back of the button. This eyelet then allows you to easily add an elastic ponytail cord.

When you watch the video, you’ll see just how uncomplicated these additional steps are.

Follow the link for more information about purchasing our ponytail sets, which will allow you to start creating and customizing your own ponytail buttons today!

Restaurant Owners: Using Button Machines to Make Custom Buttons and Badges a Recipe For Success

There is no better form of marketing for a restaurant than word of mouth. If a friend of mine tells me about a great experience at a restaurant, I am infinitely more inclined to try out that restaurant than I would be simply by seeing a commercial. When it comes to this type of restaurant marketing, the proof really is “in the pudding” as the old saying goes.

But if you are a restaurant owner, and you think that marketing and promoting ends once a customer – new or old – walks through the door, you are a making a big mistake that is costing you money. Suggestive selling and up-selling are two of the most effective tools that restaurant owners have in their tool belts.

And few devices are better at achieving all of these objectives (and more!) than buttons.

Button Maker Usability Comparison: American v Chinese Button Makers

Over the last two days here at The Button Blog, we have discussed some of the differences between button makers made in America and those made in China. If you want to get caught up before this post, here are the links to the other two posts:

Today, we are going to take the next step and discuss the specific usability and design factors that make Chinese 3-in-1 button machines far less effective than single-size American-made button makers which, we reiterate, can be purchased in all-in-one button maker kits that are less expensive than the single multi-purpose Chinese-made machine.

So, where do we start with the usability comparison? Simply put, there is no comparison.

Common Myths About Chinese-made Button Making Kits

Over at our American Button Machines website, we recently posted a couple of new pages that offer a detailed comparison between American-made button making kits and Chinese-made button maker kits. While we are sure that some of you have noticed the links to the new pages on the ABM homepage and checked them out, we are quite certain that most of you do not spend your days hitting “Refresh” on our homepage awaiting new links.

Thus, we are going to post the content of those pages here, in a four-part series that breaks the content on the website up into four smaller chunks.

In the first part of the series that we are posting today, we are going to provide an overview and take a quick look at a few common myths about 3-in-1 button makers that are manufactured in China.
